Douglas Lloyd Gray, 63, of Henderson County passed away April 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and son. He was born June 27, 1960, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Jack Walter and Phyllis Arlene (Euhus) Gray. 
Doug and his family moved to Farmers Branch when he was nine. He attended R. L. Turner High School followed by Texas Tech University and Brookhaven College. 
Doug met the love of his life, Carla McKinney and they were married Dec. 3, 1983. They were blessed with 40 wonderful years together. 
Doug was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco and believed trusting in God and providing for his family to be most important in life. 
He was a D-licensed coach in competitive youth soccer and loved giving advice and helping people take on new challenges. He enjoyed listening to live music, jazz being his favorite. 
When not working as a rideshare driver, Doug loved traveling, hiking or camping with his beloved family. Doug, also cherished his daily walks with his dog, Hudson.
  Douglas was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Phyllis Gray and father-in-law James L. McKinney. 
  He is survived by his wife, son Matt, brother David, sister Debbie Schultz-Peters, mother-in-law Jerene McKinney, sister-in-law and husband Sharron and Kenneth McLeod, niece Natalie Hoven and husband Matthew, nephew Marshal McLeod and wife Stacey, nephew Jason Gray, along with numerous great nieces, nephews and other relatives. 
A Celebration of life services for Douglas was held April 22, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
